Optimization
SimulationX offers interfaces to different optimization tools (CAO). SimulationX and optimization tool enables engineers to find design parameters automatically. This advanced solution integrates system modeling, simulation and analysis with SimulationX and expand the applications to evaluate alternatives at an accelerated rate.
Currently SimulationX offers three integrated solutions:
modeFRONTIER
modeFRONTIER from ESTECO srl (Italy) is a multi objective optimization and design environment with an easy coupling to SimulationX. It provides an environment which allows engineers and designers to integrate their CAE tools, such as CAD, FEM or CFD. Using a variety of state-of-the-art optimization techniques, ranging from gradient-based methods to genetic algorithms, the process or design of interest can be optimized by specifying objectives and defining variables which affect factors such as geometric shape and operating conditions. The software in effect becomes a wrapper around the CAE tool, performing the optimization by modifying the value assigned to the input variables, and monitoring the outputs.
Isight
Isight from Dassault Systèmes Simulia Corp. under license from Engineous Software, Inc., USA, provides a suite of visual and flexible tools to set up and manage simulation-based design processes. The SimulationX Component for Isight smoothly integrates in the Isight Design Gateway for user-friendly interaction between Isight and SimulationX. Using advanced multi-run techniques including studies of alternatives, DOE (Design of Experiments), optimization, DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and stochastic analyses, engineers are able to thoroughly explore the design space of SimulationX models. Sophisticated, interactive post processing tools allow engineers to see the design space from multiple points of view.
OptiY
The software OptiY from OptiY e.K. (Germany) is a multidisciplinary analysis and optimization program providing optimization strategies and state-of-the-art probabilistic algorithms for tolerance, reliability, robustness, sensitivity analysis and approximation. Optimization models can be considered as black box with input and output variables. Within, it is an open platform for different kind of model classes. OptiY offers an integrated SimulationX interface.
