Oil and Gas Industry - Virtual Test of Subsea Systems

ITI Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry

The unique, well-established „SimulationX Global Subsea Center“, that was found in 2007, is an alliance of ITI and Agito to support modern system development for the oil and gas industry. In the course of rising oil and gas prices companies are more and more seeking for alternative possibilities to produce oil and gas from previously inefficient fields. Subsea production is one way to exploit such alternative resources. Yet, this technology makes high demands on the applied technical systems. All over the world this is one of the greatest challenges in high-technology.

Subsea technology in offshore oil and gas production is a highly-specialized field of application with particular demands on engineering and simulation. Together with Agito, ITI streamlines the global subsea activities; the SimulationX Global Subsea Centre provides offshore-specific SimulationX libraries (subsea hydraulics, subsea electrics, offshore handling) and comprehensive consulting and engineering services.

Fields of Application

  • Model-based development of innovative high-tech plants and system solutions for the exploitation and production of energy resources in an environmentally-friendly way
  • Analysis and evaluation of the dynamic behavior of components and systems used for the production and distribution of oil and gas
  • Real-time virtual test of systems for subsea production, subsea drilling, supply above sea level, seismography, subsea construction equipment and subsea process measurement and control equipment
