ITI Solutions for Marine and Shipbuilding

By means of methodical integration of new technologies in the field of shipbuilding an increase in productivity will be realized. Shipbuilding and offshore technology are branches which have to apply new systems under extremely difficult basic conditions at the development and production. In the so called virtual ship design, new materials come into operation as well as controlled electro mechanical systems and fuel cell technologies are applied.

SimulationX enhances and facilitates the development and the use of high technology in the marine industry. Thereby SimulationX solutions are applied at basic researches in universities, industrial research up to the development of marketable systems.

SimulationX applications

  • Modeling of complex, mechanical respectively hydro mechanical loaded, controlled, electrical or thermo dynamical systems for the prognosis of the dynamic behavior
  • System simulation at the design, development and construction of ship components and ship systems
  • Design of boat and ship drive trains including all power transmission components (engine, clutch, gear, propeller) with funded conclusions to elasticity and damping behavior
  • Noise and vibration analysis e.g. to avoid clutch or gearbox damages
  • Dimensioning and optimization of technical plants on ships (e.g. air conditioning, cooling systems, energy systems) by means of an integrated system modeling
  • Simulation-aided conclusions to extreme situations
  • Development and evaluation of new technical concepts of future naval ships
