ITI Solutions for Manufacturers of Mobile Heavy Machinery and their Suppliers

Construction machinery and equipment are mobile working machines of which exists a great variety, depending on the field of application. Those machines, such as excavators, wheel loaders, concrete mixer trucks, concrete pump systems, hoisting devices, cranes, compaction equipment, and tunneling equipment are “multi-domain” systems. Besides mechanical elements, those systems consist of hydraulic components as well as control units.

Mobile machines are designed in a way that they work precisely and safely even under rough environmental conditions and accelerated work cycles. Taking this into consideration, the analysis of unsteady processes and vibrations becomes increasingly important. Yet, such a complex analysis usually requires more than stress analyses, flow calculations or simulation of kinematics. Many phenomena originate from the interaction of sub systems with different physical backgrounds. Besides, in mobile working machines, most of the physical-technical relations are non-linear.

SimulationX provides the necessary potential for the comprehensive development of such systems. The multi-body mechanical library and the universally consistent, object-oriented modeling help to quickly and efficiently solve current tasks when designing construction machines.

Fields of Application

  • Comprehensive approach for non-linear multi-domain simulation of hydraulic-mechanical machines
  • Analysis of the dynamic behavior as well as of the behavior of drive and control units
  • Prediction of machine behavior and tuning of machine functionality in its operating environment
  • Determination of the expected load in normal operation mode as well as during break-down situations in early development stages
  • Quick analysis of structural variants
  • Analysis and optimization of movements and dynamic loads
